First round submission

The purpose of this round is to provide a clear snapshot of your farming background, ownership goals, and financial position to allow the judging panel to shortlist finalists.
Second round submission
For shortlisted applicants only
Maximum 26 pages, plus reports total
The purpose of this round is to provide detailed information to enable judges to select the overall winner during interviews at Nationals

Prepare a brief 10-15 minute presentation to start the interview. Your presentation should cover the following:
A bit about you and your farming journey
Why you believe you should be selected for the First Farm Award
The farm you are aiming to purchase
Whether you are currently in a position to buy, and how you plan to make your purchase happen
This can be verbal, written, powerpoint, pamphlet, however you would like to present it.
This is your opportunity to help the judges understand your story, your vision and your readiness for farm ownership.
Following your presentation, the judges will ask a set of pre-prepared questions to ensure consistency across all interviews. They may also ask questions specific to your submission to gain further insight or clarification.
Nationals week information
Finalists will attend Nationals week alongside finalists of other categories.
You will receive your interview time in the lead up to Nationals week alongside an itinerary.
